| I just had smoked chicken for lunch. It was delicious. Only 2 % fat. I bought it in a sealed pack in aldi. 500gms $9.99. 4 chicken breasts in the pack. It is very moist and I didn't need any dressing to eat it. | |

| Finally in the 80s. The scales are being weird though. Ever since I hit 90.0 they have gone up. Yesterday they were 90.3 today 89.1. I will put them away for a week now. | |

| So true. I may try the dukan after the 5th. I did low carb Atkins for about 20 months 5 years ago and loved it. I have tired it the last 2 years a couple of times but the protein gives me such a bad taste in my mouth since I have had the band. Tastes like my bowls are coming back up...lol I know it is ketos but it is so bad these days. | |

| I just can't do shakes. I get too hungry. I am quite happy with the protein and veg alternating days. We just need to get something that suits us and that we don't feel resentful about. If I am resenting it then I break pretty quickly. | |

| Linda I broke my plan last week on the weekend. Two nights eating not heaps but I did have some Greek Olive Bread I made. (2 slices) Noodles in the salad and 3 glasses of wine. The next night I was careful but had a small slice of pie but it had hardly any sugar in it.
Result 1.4k up and it has taken the whole week to get back to where I was. It is not worth it. I put on weight so easily. I know it is fluid but still it takes the week to get back to where you were.
I won't be eating like this for the rest of my life but till get down to 85k then 80k to start with.
I am doing a bar and a drink a day with a main meal (protein and low carb veg.) A snack of carrot celery with a light eggplant dip or crystallized onions. Green soup if I am hungry during the day. Success plan by Dr Tim but I use the Aldi shakes sometimes.

| I didn't weigh today. I was side tracked last night and had 3 glasses of wine (big glasses). I feel like crap today so that is good. I won't repeat it for at least another week. At least I didn't eat anything bad like twisties. I am on my last jar of caviar. I wish I had bought more when they were on sale at aldi. I don't even know if coles or woolies sells caviar. It is not something I usually buy. I have been having a teaspoon mixed in with the egg yolk in a boiled egg. That is by far my most favoured food. I had red salmon fish cakes last night. Alan had fish and chips, oven baked. I did the fish cakes in the oven too on some baking paper. They are much nicer done in the fry pan. | |

| Yeah I know, I am not going to chuck it in for that. Dr Dukan says to weigh every day. He says that the joy you get from a loss keeps you going. I have never been one to weigh every day but I have enjoyed the last almost 3 weeks! | |

| Are you supposed to weigh every day, Linda? I know I have done it on occasions, but I really think it is unwise. Once a week is really enough. As far as .1 goes, that's only a wee. Even a no. 2 would weigh more than that. | |

| I actually bought some low-fat (NOT no-fat) Jalna vanilla yoghurt the other day for the first time in ages. I reckon they make fantastic yoghurts, don't know if the difference is that it is set in the pot or not.
Not sure about the chemicals in the jelly. Have never looked at the packet closely enough. Can you still get diet toppings? Maybe try that with the yoghurt instead of the jelly. Used to be able to buy it in choc, caramel and strawberry, so not as many flavours as jelly, but might be worth a try. Then again, they're probably full of chemicals too.
Sometimes feel like it's a no-win situation. So much low-fat stuff is packed with sugar, or else bulked up with some damn artificial crap. None of these issues were apparent in the 'olden' days, where people ate good home-grown stuff and their fare share of full-fat items, it's just that they all did manual work, had no remote controls, and burned off everything they ate.
I'm living in the wrong century.

| Thanks losingit. I can't tell you what it feels like to wake up in the morning and not feel a failure. I have hope and I am achieving my goals. Long time since I said that!
I am going to mix the food up a bit. Make more salmon patties as I love those and not so much chicken. I also bought a 500g piece of smoked chicken with 2% fat at aldi. Dr Dukan says it is nice and low in fat so I will try that. I did look in woolies and coles but they were in 4 kg size pieces (turkey) so I didn't bother.
The 1 kg tub of low fat jalna greek yoghurt is lovely and creamy. I mixed jelly chrystals into it. It was sort of sharp. I didn't sleep that well last night and I was wondering if it is because of the chemicals in the jelly?

| Going great guns, Linda. Well done. You must be extremely happy.
You can smell those 80's, can't you?
I know what you mean about being on a roll (well, that is I remember what it was like!). Keep it going.

| 90.0 today
very close get ready for the screams!
Loss of 3kgs. This is unheard of for me. I passed up a lunch invitation today. I am on a roll and don't want to blow it. It was only with Alan at a pub somewhere in town. No biggie.

| I find it probably the easiest diet I have been on. I look forward to weighing in the mornings. Dr Dukan said that but the scales and I have always had an uneasy relationship. In fact we were divorced last year LOL I am just doing the minimum walking at the moment. I haven't done my big hill yet but I will get there. So I know I have a bit in reserve if needed. | |
