| 1.2 kgs today so total is 1.7
I AM OVER THE FREAKING MOON! SOMETHING THAT WORKS AND I AM NOT HUNGRY JUST A BIT BORED
Breakfast 1 scrambled egg
Lunch some chicken, pink salmon 1 boiled egg with caviar. I also had that dressing I made the day before.
Snack non fat yoghurt with 1 1/2 tablespoons oatbran
Dinner 1 piece steamed salmon with dressing
Glass diet lemonade with bitters with dinner.
I walked and drank water.
Alan thinks he is on it too as he gets what I get for dinner plus veges. He also has his normal cereal for breakfast, sandwiches a piece of slice for lunch and an apple. He is not exercising (still has stitches under the arm) not drinking the water and he has lost 1.4kgs. I guess it is the no booze and no crap. He weighed in first this morning and was as pleased as punch that he had lost 1.4. I was in bed thinking I would be really really happy with .5kg please please please.
I am going shopping today to stock up on non fat dairy and eggs. I will get some smoked salmon as that is a good standby. I will buy some egg whites to make scrambled eggs go further. I will need to read ahead for Friday but I am pretty sure I can have most normal veges not potatoes corn etc.

| Right day 1 successful! I walked I had protein and the oatbran and water.
The nicest thing was the boiled egg at lunch. I took out the yolk and mixed it with a bit of non fat yoghurt and some caviar. Divine! Just roast chicken for dinner was a challenge. I made up a dressing out of yoghurt and mustard. I think that is where the lapband will hinder but it was non fat and in the recipes so if I need it I need it. I had lunch at 11.20am and thought geez I am going to be starving. Then I was fine until 5pm when I had some non fat yoghurt. I just had a couple of glasses of diet lemonade over the night and didn't need to eat.
Loss .5kg promised loss on 4 day attack phase 1.59kg

| It was ok but I think I would prefer scrambled egg or poached eggs. I have a feeling I am going to be eating a lot of eggs but that is ok as I love them.
Man that oat bran works. Luckily after my walk.
For lunch I am thinking of some pink salmon and a boiled egg. I might mix some caviar into the egg yolk.
Dinner is roast chicken. It will be strange just eating chicken but after 4 days veges will taste great.
I feel so fat that I am determined to stick with it.

| LOL and that is why I didn't start yesterday. OK for breakfast I had: Dukan Oat Bran Galette (Pancake) Attack PhaseMinutes to Prepare: 2Minutes to Cook: 5Number of Servings: 1 Ingredients1 1/2 tablespoons of Oat Bran 1 1/2 tablespoons of non-fat fromage frais or quark 1 egg (or egg white if have cholesterol problems) DirectionsPut oat bran in a bowl, add non-fat fromage frais or quark and one egg. Mix all the ingredients thoroughly and pour on to a non stick pan that has been greased beforehand with a few drops of oil then wiped with kitchen paper. Cook for 2-3 minutes each side. Makes one serving/pancake Number of Servings: 1 I couldn't buy non-fat fromage grais or quark but bought non fat jalna pot set yoghurt so I used that instead. It was ok but very filling. I think I might eat my oatbran in yoghurt or muffins or something. Zippy, what is your muffin recipe? Is it dukan friendly? I think it will be easy to drink enough water today. It is a scorcher. | |

| It went like this Linda... breakfast..an egg... lunch some lean ham and cottage cheese... dinner a plate of salad and a small peice of steak... after dinner a few friends a glass of diet coke....then a glass of diet coke with a little bundy...then another then some chips...then some fruit cake....then some cheese cake was rolled out...more rum and coke... 2.30 rolled up and my gut felt like I had been eating rocks.
Everyone is back at work tomorrow so routine will be back in place so perhaps to save embarrasment I shall start hard core then... today however I will try very hard but if I slip I will be nice to me and not get all doomsday and end of the thin world as we know it.
At least I have a plan I suppose... to a good point though... I was quite enjoying the good food... another good point is that I was reminded that dieting, alcohol and a festive atmosphere with enabling friends and family is not conducive to any diet!

| It is day 1 for me today. I said I would start on Monday. I knew it was no good starting yesterday as the neighbours would come down for drinks and nibbles. Ended up with nibbles and party pies and drinks. So tis a big day for me today and hot as well. I have been doing some walking which is encouraging. I have lost fitness though and haven't been doing the huge hill.
I also booked for thailand in early June so that is a good incentive.
Did you start zips? | |

| yes its truely demoralising... I feel so bloated and am beginning to hate myself...yet I will still eat till tomorrow morning.
I have oat bran in the cupboard from my muffins and when I got the band out I loaded the freezer up with meaty so I think I am pretty good to go... might pop in and get some low fat cottage cheese tho.
I have to do 3 days in the initial stage to lose 1.5 kilo then drop another 7 kilos on the following stage over 6 months...

| Um - well my gain this year is 10 times that (and possibly more). Not game to weigh myself.
Hope those who follow the diet have some success and are happy with the program.
Good luck all! | |

| I am starting on Monday so you will be a day ahead of me. We can share recipes. I will stock up on low fat dairy tomorrow. I like the look of the oat bran pancake thing for breakfast. How many days are you doing of just protein? I have to do 4. I would imagine that you would only really need 1 or 2 days. I like that he is more into maintaining your weight after getting to goal and looking after things from that perspective than getting to goal and leaving you high and dry. He is also non negotiable on the oatbran daily and 1 1/2 litres of fluid including tea and coffee and diet drinks. | |

| Hi everyone
After being banded for 5 years I need some extra help. I have been researching the Dukan Diet and it seems pretty doable. I thought I would never diet again after getting a lapband and have said that many a time!
I was wrong.
Is anyone else interested in coming aboard with me?
