| yeah I did but wasnt a fan... they were like boiled eggs with out the shell and it was very difficult ( or I found it to be) to get the yolk soft. Mine were always hard no matter what I did.
I do love it for boiled eggs though and it makes soft boiled eggs perfectly for me every breakfast

| I have the same egg boiler but I got it from retravision and use it every day... its fantastic and idiot proof.
I make my own poached eggs and taught my daugter who has 2 poached eggs for breaky each day, I do them in a really small little fry pan that I got from one of those bargain stores...2 finger width of water in the bottom...let the water come to a simmer (not a boil) with a little salt and with or with out vinegar and crack your eggs in ...and bathe the water over the top of your eggs...done in under 2 minutes and perfect every time..... Pity I hate poached eggs hence the boiled egg machine.

Glad your cough is gone too!

| Yeah that would be good. Oi loosingit where are ya?
I saw the doctor last Wed and got some antibiotics to clear up my cough. It seems to have worked. I also told him I couldn't exist like this any more and got a script for some clonazapam. This is what the yanks take for the rocking. It seems to work. I feel more normal and I am not rocking bobbing and swaying. They are benzos and I didn't want to go there but enough is enough. I am only taking a small dose and maybe it will knock the rocking off and I can come off them. At the moment it is a relief and just what I needed.

| Morning aaaaaaaall. Not much to report here... well I suppose I should fess up ... I have been nibbling a bit more than I should. My husband tends to hand feed me when ever he gets food and out of habit I take the morsel and eat it even though I am not hungry.
So I have bee stalled somewhat but its no biggie as long as Im not gaining.
Hunger wise there is still none to speak of but I do as I have stated before suffer from the head hunger. Luckily I cant get much of what I fancy in so its not making a great deal of impact.
Apart from all that its all much the same.
So where is Missy Loosinit... I dont hear from her much these days... hopefully she has run away with a young hard bodied man and is currently wearing him out on some sunny beach in a luxury location. *sigh*

| That's what i have, this weird lumpy protrusion starting under my ribcage. Its the port but there seems to be a general lump around it and across the top of the tum...and its hard too. Weird. Fancy there being such a big difference in a tiny size difference..between the 32 and the 34. I think i would like it slightly bigger too given the choice. Eating small amounts is fine but eating like a two year old when you're out with other adults would be hard. I'd rather be able to eat a little more and look more normal than eat crumbs and have no social life at all. lol
I must get my arse up there and see him and stop making excuses. I've just done so crap i don't want him to know i'm one of the failures! Arrrghhh...

| funny you say that deb but my tummy was the same with the band. It was tight like a beach ball high up... now its flatter and I dont have the protrusion at the top starting under the rib cage. Its more normal looking and not like a pregnant belly.... its also softer.
I cant really explain how different the two operations are save to say that I feel like I have had no WLS now.. I feel like I did pre all ops except Im not hungry and I get full quick.
I know that others do suffer from side effects so I am either lucky or its the size sleeve I have.
When I had it done I was a tad dissapointed that I had a 34 and not the teeny 32 others had but now that I read what they are going through I am very happy with what I have. I also think it depends on your docs technique and as you know our doc is conservative and I think that plays out well with the sleeve.
Anyway, its been a good decision for me thank goodness.
I say Doc a week ago and he was most happy with the outcome and my next appointment is in December... so its now 6 monthly visits... I think it then switches to 12 monthly.

| Thanks Zip...almost sounds like the start of the panic attacks i used to get....sweating, nausea, a sort of out of body experience...but maybe without the out of body experiece. lol
How good is it that's its like a stop sign on bad foods. A physical stop sign. Would love that.
That's cool also that your tummy is flatter. I find with the band the upper part of my stomach is big (the lower part is too :) but pre band all the weight was in the lower part and now its in the upper and lower. Maybe its just the port pushing it out...who knows. A flat tum sounds nice though!

| Yes I am I dont look as drained in the face and my belly is flatter by half.
Dumping feels like a sugar rush... your heart pounds, you get sweaty and you feel like you will throw up at any given minute... some people get diareah...I dont.
Now when you have had it its akin to having drank too much and you never want to touch the alcohol you drank to make you sick.. so you tend to be put off the food that sent you into dumping.
In my case, cheese cake, chocolate and chai tea.
It is unpleasant but I would much rather have the rare dumping episode that stuckage.. and I have to say its more pleasant in a horrible way.. if that makes sense.
I have had 4 episodes (cos I am stupid and backed up again for chocolate) I can eat 3 squares of chocolate but am better off with 2 any more than 3 and I get dumping.
I have been told it settles around the 12 month mark but am kinda hoping it hangs around cos it only happens with bad foods. If it happended with clean protein I would be peeved but having to avoid chocolate or sugar and have it enforced by unpleasant repocussions doesnt worry me.
Not everyone gets dumping, in fact no one on my sleeving march month thread has experienced it.
Hope this helps Deb | |

| Yes Zip sounds like the muscle to fat ratio has changed. Has your body shape changed at all compared to the abnded weight? SO glad its going well for you. Can i ask what the dumping feels like? debs | |

| [quote="zippy"]Well I am back to my debanding weight... took a lot longer to lose it than gain it buuuuuut I am a whole size smaller than I was at the same weight.
I can only put it down to the ability to eat more meat and salad... I think it has better fat burning qualities but helps retain or perhaps build more muscle.
Zippy you are spot on in this theory.

| Well I am back to my debanding weight... took a lot longer to lose it than gain it buuuuuut I am a whole size smaller than I was at the same weight.
In actual fact I am slightly smaller than I was when I was at my lowest banding weight which was 65 kilos....yet I have more muscle than I did then.
I can only put it down to the ability to eat more meat and salad... I think it has better fat burning qualities but helps retain or perhaps build more muscle.
Its all I got folks, thats all I can think of as a theory.
I put the jeans on I was wearing at this weight at Xmas when I had the band out and they fell down... weird...really weird.
I had a glass of red wine last night ...no it wasnt a fish bowl glass...just a normal one and could only make it half way through cos it was hitting me hard.... I am now officially a cheap drunk ladies.
Eating well... still not hungry. still havent found a food my tummy throws back or pains me. perhaps Im just lucky or perhaps this is a good sized sleeve for me... who knows and it doesnt matter cos it works.
I have had no ill effects except for a bit of dumping if I eat too much sugar or the fact I am a light weight drinker now.... oh and milk is an issue if I have too much.
Not really big problems me sposes.
Hopefully my good run will continue.

| Linda if you can stomach it a egg white raw will stop the trots. It lines the stomach. I did it when in Asia 30 years ago. Would not do it over there now with Bird Flu around but in Australia it is ok to use the egg white. Strain the white from the yolk and cut it with a knife and hold noise and swollow. Well that is how I get it down. I have done it a few times and told heaps of people who in despration have tried it and it works every time. Delia | |

| its been sunny and calm here for the last few days but very icy... you can feel its snowing somewhere.
I am so cold since being sleeved. I can feel the cold to my bones. I was never this cold with the band. So thats a down side me thinks.
