| Today I feel I ate heaps but it kept me from picking at things (and the mulberries) that I should not. Early morning B 2 eggs and salmon cup of tea sm S Dukan breakfast bar (oatbrand allowance) S small slice amount of quiche cup fo tea sm L chicken with yoghurt yoghurt and lf ricotta cheese with jelly 2 muffins they did have some spinach in them forgot I was on PP (dukan muffins) Chicken soup yoghurt Iced herb tea instead of water today. So I have started. When I write it down and added it up it is not a lot. I for some reason thougth I had eaten all day. I wrote it down as I ate so I did not miss anything out. Will do some water tomorrow instead of all iced herb tea. I know herb tea is allowed. I think for a week or so I will write the menu the night before and see if I can stick to it.

| YES it is but I was told the band is a tool only you have to work with it. With the Dukan I could do that but as soon as you let your guard down the old habits sneak back in fast. Oh well if I don’t' want more surgery I have to do the Dukan as it should be and it is the way I was told to eat for the band any way. Lots of protein first then the vegetable if I could fit it in.
I feel my doctor was fair in what he told me. He said it did not work for all people and the amount you would lose and also he did not want us not eating. We were to eat a protein and vegetable meal not all soups (slider foods), bread fruit and most other things but smaller amounts. He does not believe if we go out that we cannot eat and slim ect. He wants us to eat a normal entrée size meal. Of course I thought I knew better and had the band tight and was getting food stuck and using slider soft foods. I know better now but I also know you have to work at it.
He also told me if the band slipped again I could have a sleeve but I will have to think a lot on that.
He also told me the first year would be the easiest the second harder and after that you have to really work at it. So honeymoon over now.
The sleeve sounds good but in the states some are having bands on their sleeves as they have stretched them. The new procedure you speak of sound good.

| That's it eh Delia, to lose with the band ya need to be full on with some sort of diet.
For you Dukan was really effective, for me Calorie Counting was super effective but it's just soooo hard hanging on & being really strict the whole time.

| Greeeeeeeeeeeee I am up 5k this morning from my lowest so I have to keep to the dukan full on now to lost it and more. I am annoyed with myself at first I could get away with a bit of a slip up then slowly all the old habit are returning till this has happened. A wake up call I can tell you. Delia | |

| So glad you are home safe. A shame you both as sick and I hope it passes fast. If the diarrhea doesn't stop the raw white of an egg will do the trick. It coats the bowl and stops it in no time at all. I can get it down and if you are really sick you will also.
Mulberries aren’t fattening but not allowed on the Dukan but saying that I lost a kg last week anyway.
Yes the birds a pest but for some reason this time there are not many on the tree. Heaps around the yard. I love having our own fruit and vegetables but have a bandicoot digging up the garden but so far he has only dug out a couple of small flowers. They say they are good in the garden and he had dug up most of it but left the vegetables so could be right.
You put on a lot of weight? So back on Dukan I would love someone to do it with me again. I bet you had heaps of fun eating and trying out different foods.
Take care Delia | |

| 1kg gone but have been into the mulberries. After picking 7kk of them today and freezing decided that was enough the birds can have the rest if no one wants to come and pick them.
I am pleased seem to back on track now and with no mulberries should be totally right again.
A new fitness centre opened here and I was thinking of joining but I don't really like gym and if I sign up for a year I think I would probable drop out after a while. Why don’t they have a weekly fee? I assume it is that they know so many drop out and they get their money for a year anyway.
MMM what motivates you to go and stick to it?
I think I will just go back to walking 30 mins. a day and when hot again will go into the beach 2 or 3 times a week.

| Yes it comes on so easy but then I have been eating what ever I want just like the old days. Old habits hard to break but if I want to be a reasonable weight have to go back to dukan. Delia I do like the plan so should be ok | |

| I have always been able to eat steak but I buy eye fillet for myself. I don't eat much of it so I feel it is justified.
Another trip how lovely for you. We were in Asia 34 years ago and I loved it. My husband won't travel with me these days unless it is in the van and fishing so selfish. I had decided a few years ago that if I did not travel alone or with a friend I would never do anything. So that is what I do but I long for him to do it with me. There are things you can do with a male you can’t with a female when traveling and places you can go. Especially at night.
The rocking must be a bugger of a thing to have and I do hope it improves for you. I can understand how it must be so hard to try and do the diets with that in your head all the time.
Take care Delia | |

| I had fill out 2 weeks ago. I can now eat steak. I am slowly regaining what I lost on dukan. I am going to get back into it when we get back from Phuket mid Sept. I am sure I will gain weight while away. The hotel has an award winning restaurant and we have 2 set thai dinners included in our package. We also have breakfast and they bring afternoon tea to your room each day. Chocolates on the pillow at night. Of course I don't have to eat any of it. We are booked in for another meal on my birthday so I will try to walk a lot. The weather here is terrible and I just don't feel like going outside at all. My rocking is coming back too. I could increase the dosage or just put up with it. Just in 2 minds at the moment. | |

| Linda the weather was fantastic. I did not stay completly on program and ate chocolate and again yesterday. Well today I have been on a pv day and not eaten much at all the band seems to be a bit tight for some reason. If I can't keep on P and PV days this week I am going to go to the next stage. I re read the book and Dr D says to do that or you may put the weight back on. I am really hoping I can stick to it as I want to lose the last of this weight and then go to the next stage and then stage 4. It is hard with or withour the band but I do like the fact I had some fill out. How are you going? Delia

| I am not doing it full on. Just adding more protein. Lunch had turned into a slider meal for me. I am having a good lunch now. I am getting fill out on 24 Aug so hopefully will enjoy more variety and maybe a steak! | |

| Ahhh Linda great you are getting back in to it. I feel so much better now on the 5th day. The recipes are yummy and you just have to be prepared. I set my friend up in Brisbane last week with all she needs to do. She did it with me for 4 days while I was with her. I think she will keep going as she lost her bloated stomach in a couple of days. She only has about 10k to lose but is handicaped and only walks on crutches. So she is doing well. I don't bother with the coating on the scotch eggs either. I have turkey mince to use tomorrow. Last week I mixed it with about 1/8 cup of sparkling mineral water salt and pepper and one egg, 1 teaspoon parm cheese Pressed into a pie plate and then masked a sweed and pasnip (no butter) but did add a tablespoon of parm cheese and toped the mince with it. Bake till the mince is cooked and the top brown. It was yummy. Forgot I am 78.2 this morning so a few grams and I will be back to my lowest. Delia | |
