| well... it is through research that I come to this preposterously rediculous conclusion....however after checking the ingredients which are as follows I figure how freaking bad can it be
Eggs...protein and b vitamins
flour...carbohydrates and fibre for energy and pooping power
Chocolate.. happy endorphins and other shit
oil... essential for greasing the joints and hair and skin stuff
milk...calcium.. dah
Sugar... carbohydrates for energy and a sparkly smile
Butter... hmmmm... fat for... eeeeerm... oh yes our arses...so they can grow large and healthy
Now see not so bad when you break it all down is it

| What? Are you serious Zippy? I have NEVER heard that before. Would you mind explaining where you gleaned this information from?
I must say that comes as a total shock to me. I'm inclined to disbelieve you, but maybe you have access to some intelligence that I have not.

| Lol will do Trish. I tend to think 'nah I'm fine. I don't need it" but I usually do. This time I'll take advantage for sure. Wonder how Tara is feeling today....hope the gas pain has eased. That's what I remember about getting the band out.....that horrible gas pain. It took nearly a week to go away fully. Blah..... | |

| My advice to you Deb is as soon as you come out of the fog of the gas... push it... if you can't... then complain like a banshee till some minion does it for you..aaaand when you wake up in recovery and they ask you what your pain level is...it is never less than 8!
That way you wont surface for a few hours and be in the land of blissful sleep.
I will say that when I woke up in recovery I was uncomfortable and felt spewy which they very quickly fixed and any twinge of pain I felt I got more morphene but when I got back to my bed in intensive care... I thought I could tough it out and OMG the pain in my belly was horrendous... it was apparently gas but I have never felt anything like it and I wouldnt have had to either if I had just pushed the pain pump every 20 mins on the dot like I was instructed.
The nurse got super cranky with me and pointed at the clock on the other side of the room and said " I dont care if your in pain or not when that hand hits that number, you push that button!!!"
So dont do what I did ...push that bloody button and the pain will simply go away no problems.
That was my only incident of pain problems and after that in a few hours I was sparking on all fours....sadly if I had just used the frigging pump like a sensible person in the first place I would have felt no pain at all..
oh well some old hounds dont learn so quick

| Well done Tara. If you still need the pain relief after you run out get some mersyndol. Better change your signature to 2 evil bands and now they are gone! | |

| If I could sing you a tune - "Congratulations, and celebrations". I think that'll be enough of a Cliff Richard song.
You get the gist. Glad you are home and have the beast out!
Take care, Tara. | |

| Hi All,
Home safe and sound. (yay)
Shoulder tip pain certainly is a b*tch eh - this is the first time I've had it and gotta say not a fan.
And hell yes they were super stingy with the Endone in the Hospital but gave me a couple of days worth to bring home so yay.
And Zips, thank you, I'm sooooooo glad you said this is worse than the sleeve going in cos I when I got up this morning I was not looking forward to doing it all yet again.
Thanks for thinking of me everyone, Tara

| I generally only have a drink when my hubby is home so I dont mind too much. And I guess drinking spirits is different to wine... once the bottle of wine is opened ...ya just gotta drain it...however once a bottle of rum is opened ...if ya drain it... ya dead! | |

| No she doesnt. I told everyone about the band ( and they drove me crazy about it for 4 years) I told everyone I got the band out but only told my hubby and 2 of my kids about my sleeve.
As far as the world is concerned Im doing it on my own.
Linda...at first I couldnt eat or drink wine...now I can eat but only the 1/2 cup full max and alcohol is fine....juuuuuust not as much as I could drink before as it goes more to my head now.
So the sleeve is relatively living normally with no restrictions on food or liquid type... just smaller portions all round.
Although I do admit drinking water or cordial feels like I have an air bubble under it so avoid the stuff which I shouldnt... however grog, tea, coffee and defizzed diet soda are no issue.
I just cant drink as much alcohol now...still enjoy it but it gooooes further if you know what i mean.
Oh and drinking and eating at the same time is an issue...but I dont mind having a drink and not eating ooooor eating and waiting 15 mins for it to go down to have a glass of rocket fuel

| Lol Linda.
Getting full on half a pea.....hahaha.....she's obviously got a lot of other crazy going on. No one can be that sanctimonious AND sane. She must be bat shit crazy in other areas....like a closet gambler or small animal botherer. Lol
Does she know you have a sleeve Trish?

You put me off a sleeve when you said you can't have wine and eat. WTF
So really if I was to give up wine I wouldn't need a sleeve!
