| oooh that sounds good Trish. The pre surgery relaxant. I've always had the other way...get the canula in and they say 'you'll feel all tingly now or feel like you're wetting your pants' and my god it so does. Its awful. I would love a pre-buzz. Actually i think they said she would give me a little pre-somethin somethin :) The other doc didn't, just the canula and something else in an artery. Oh hey i went to the local RSL tonight to try and win a chrissy ham in the raffles and my ticket got called out to the spin the wheel...and i won $500 worth of credit to spend at the club...on anything from the pokies to booze to dinners. I was gobsmacked! lol debs | |

| She is lovely isnt she Debs...and so normal...not at all lofty.
She came and visited me in my room a day or two after my gall to see how I was going. After my sleeve and band in and removal I didnt see lurch at all.
She put in the canular and asked me if I was nervous, I said a bit so she gave me some stuff in the waiting area that was supposed to calm my nerves down before they took me to theatre... dunno what it was but it was good shite and I felt all warm and fuzzy, shut my little peepers for a second then woke up in recovery.
Never had that happen before. They usually gave me some juice to calm me then wheeled me up to theatre...farted around then said " you will feel a bit tingly now trish" then inject something into the canular and I would go out.
I really liked what ever it was she gave me cos it was like drifting into a warm comfy sleep...

| HI girls, had the same issue with the site but Trish helped me out. Thanks Trish. Oooh that rocking sounds like bad ju-ju. I hope i never get it. How you feeling now Del. Has it passed? Very nice Kindle gift Trish. I can't believe how much your daughter sounds like my youngest sister. I got her a sterling silver locket with her birth stone, an amythest, in the centre, that you can open and put in two photos. I hope she likes it but she is so fussy....i know there will be something not right about it. LOL So girls, i went and had my pre-op check with the gas lady the other day. It went well. She said the gas for taking the band out should be less than putting a band in (its quicker if it all goes to plan) so her fee will be about $800 and my health insurance should cover about $350....so hoping to only be about 450 out of pocket for the gas lady. She said he usual band fee is about 1200 and the sleeve will be more expensice...maybe 1500. And she bulk bills afterwards so you just pay the gap. Not like the other gasman who put it in...jebus! He was like 1800 or 2000 or something and wanted it ALL up front so you were out of pocket a lot with him. Now its just a waiting game...come on the 8th of January! debs | |

| Del it is an unknown. I don't get it on planes, others do. I haven't had it every time I have been on a boat or I would have woken up earlier. Now I have to avoid boats like the plague. The first time it lasted a week and every time since it has been longer and longer. Just be wary and if it happens again don't do whatever triggered it. | |

| Linda I am feeling much better now. I have not had this before and used to go out in the ocean in our boat heaps. I do remember having sickness when on the ocean liners but a tablet fixed it up and it was rough. Do you mean that I could get this each time I go on train boat plane now I have had it once? | Yes I am now getting directed to a go daddy site which might be malicious, as I had a balloon pop up telling me.
Losingit sent me a link and I have bookmarked it and all is well.

| Del people get it from trains and planes as well as boats. Take this as a warning and never go on a boat. It doesn't sound severe and should just correct itself with time. | |

| LOL
Girls my sister has just come back from a cruise and she is rocking. I have given her valium and told her to take it easy for a week and it should go. Luckily I learnt that from the support group. The first time I got it it lasted a week. At least now if it goes away she knows to never get on a boat again.

| Thanks Delia I ended up getting one from Dick smith only because its a gift and if anything is not right with it or she would rather up grade I figured it would be easier to march in there with a receipt and do it over the counter rather than do the whole online post away thing. I got the kindle black and a cover which was on special. I thought if she wants any accessories she can purchase them herself. Dont know if I did it right as there were so many to choose from...like the one like delias with the key board or touch screen ones but I decided Keep it simple stupid and just got the basic model. its a gift and its the thought that counts right? | |

| They had one for sale with the kindles. Not sure if it will fit. Just make sure it fits. Otherwise you can get them online from amazon or probably at dick smiths etc. It wouldn't hurt to price it at amazon anyway. (kindle) | |

| Thank you so much Linda, I will pop in tomorrow and get her that one then.
As long as she can read all the books she wants on it she will be happy. She has no need for music on it or anything.
where do you buy the covers

| Trish the $119 one is the one my daughter and I have. It is the one she recommends. She doesn't recommend the touch one for $139. There is a backlit one that is a later model but has problems. The earlier model has a sound jack which must be the one Delia has. It also has a keyboard and is bigger. So go for the 6 inch wifi like ours. You will need a cover for it too. | |

| I think my kindle doesn't have as many features as Delias. It has enough for me though. I can download books on it and read them. I think del can listen to music too. My daughter bought it and she is a bit of an expert so if Del isn't much help I can ask her. | |
