| Well, what a day....went to the drs today, and decide to have .25mls in, based this on 'that I could eat a good size meal - sometimes'' bad bad move...within secs I felt like I had a clamp on my throat, and with a sip of water, through up, and again....25mls they said!!!!! you should not be doing that, but one has to look at - I have a small band, and I am at the 1/2 way mark with fill, not the begining, so it would make a marginal differance to an empty band, and I seem to be very senseitive....what a relief to get it out, but they wanted to take more..I was ok till this, tonight i struggle with a cuppa, it has really upset the april cart now, just hope it settles.....lost 1.6kgs since last visit 4 weeks ago - 34% on my weight to lose.....so slow.......but it has taken 40 years to put on!!!!!
HOpe every one is travelling ok

| Hope it stays down Cath. God it must be frustrating spewing all the time. I'm thinking of doing the shakes again for a while...just feeling so frustrated and because of the frustration am eating all the wrong things...and not losing weight...and feeling frustrated again and around it goes. I need to break the cycle somehow. I so wanted to be slim for this summer but its just not going to happen :( I've only got myself to blame. | |

| I think I am at the 30kg mark ..put on 2 kg at xmas and 3kg a months or so ago and oh the cruise that was 1kg...have now taken all that off again and a bit more...but oh so slowwwwww........had a fairly good spew up last night, seem to get wind under my small amount of food in the pouch, and if I cannot get that up I spew...weird....very sore today and can only keep fluids down, had a very small instant mash dinner, but I struggled with it......
Seems like every one is travelling ok, slow with the weight loss as well, seems to be the pattern.....
Take care

| Well done on your one year loss Kirsten! 25kg is fantastic. I think i've lost around 20? I put on a few in the last few weeks unfortunately. Still, wouldn't have lost even that much without the band so yay! Hasn't the time gone so fast...one year, i can't believe it.
Happy bandiversary guys!

| Hi everyone, I haven't been in here for days,
the band is a fickle friend. Eggs I can eat no problems, nuggets on the other hand no way, I couldn't even eat 1/2 of one.
Its our 1 yr 'bandaversiary' this month!!! How are we feeling for it?
I've hit a flat spot, don't seem to be going down on the scales, but I know I'm not always making the best food choices. But in 1 year I've lost 25kgs, so thats nothing to sneeze at.

| welcome back Cate. Sounds like you had a physical week. I haven't had a loss in ages either...so frustrating. I had to go and have an MRI today so i had some macdonalds nuggets. I shouldn't have them cause i can eat 10 of them and not feel full. Yet if i eat a few bites of scrambled egg i get such a blockage i can't eat anymore. Don't know whats wrong with me. | |

| Hi All..just back from 5 days at the Ekka with the horses....OMG, did I walk, and walk, my legs are so so sore.....did not eat a lot, have no hunger at all again, and have to actually force myself to eat, which is so little....but just cannot drop the weight, so so slow......have my good days and bad days with sticks..runny instant potatoe ( with gravy) sometimes get stuck if I do not have a cuppa before, once it flows I am ok....
Those shakes are just terrible for taste ( but remember the old saying - if it taste good it isnt good!!!!), I have trouble getting them down as they are foamy and foamy things and me do not agree....lol'

| Well my Body for Women Protein Powder turned up yesterday, banana flavoured. I will say it was better than the vanilla, but really, it looks like dirty dishwater and tastes a bit like it too :( It really needs a handfull of berries or something to jazz it up. I think they say it takes 6 weeks to re-train your tastes buds, I'm hoping it won't take that long.

| I think my 3kg weight gain has sent me into a bit of a tail spin. I keep feeling like i want to binge, and i have been binging a bit :( WHhhhyyyy!!!!!!!!!!!!!! I know its bad but i feel i almost can't stop myself. Maybe i need to try that pouch thing. I need to do something to cut the cycle. Maybe i do need that fill...another .25 mils or something. Sorry ladies, just venting really. I know there are no shortcuts to this and no magical answers...like i said, just venting. Sigh. | |

| men do seem to lose weight quicker, the buggers.
It is a battle Debs, and I think for us (ye over weight folk) it always will be. I try and take solace in thinking, that even women who are in their ideal weight range, put on a few kilos now and then and go on a quick diet to drop it. For us, we just deal in bigger numbers, hahahahaha. thats what I keep telling myself.
600 cals a day, thats so little Cate. what do you eat in a day? I still think I eat like a horse some days.
and the water, I don't think I even has 1 glass today. I really need to make more of an effort

| My weight has been bad too...i should i say i have. I've put on 3 kgs! I don't even know how it really happened. I did go through a chocolate fudge cake phase for a few days so i guess that could be it. I even went to the gym for two days last week but it doesn't seem to have made an impact. I think you're right Kirsten though, clock or scale watching never helps matters. Maybe i need a top up. I'm the same as you guys with the water...i always forget. If i drink lots i just end up peeing lots, it doesn't seem to speed up weightloss. Even with a band this weight battle is still just that...a battle. | |

| I seems to be very slow on the weight loss again.....go up and down like a yoyo.....stuck at 99 odd kgs......I find I am vomiting more after a meal now, about 10 mins, get a terrible pain in the chest, bring up about 1/3 cup and then the bloody hiccups set in......... | |

| Thanks ladies, I think I must have had a blockage, I didn't even think of that, as I've never had one. I was better the next day.
Cate, I'm not real good on the water uptake either, I just always seem to forget to drink it. Funny that, I'd never forget a coffee first thing in the morning but, lol. So has your weight gone up over the 3 days of drinking lots of water? I know for me, that If my weight is fluctuating up and down like that, It's cause I'm clock watching. You know the saying 'A watched kettle never boils'. I get disheartened when I see it on the scales, but I just have to remind myself that the loss is meant to be slow and steady, and put the scales back in the closet for a while. 1-2kgs a month is the ideal rate for permanant weight loss.
In saying that, I've been stuck around the 88.5 mark for over a month now, I flucuate up to 99.4 back to 88.2. I think a bit of self sabotage plays into it with be though. As I keep telling myself, 'just keep keeping on'
I brought that Body for Women protein powder that makes a shake. I'm going to start having that for breakie, as its low cal, high protein, low fat, and thought it might kick start the day. Had my first one today. Gross!!!!! Vanilla Bean flavour...... Hope it tastes better tomorrow. I've ordered the banana one and should get that this week. It would want to taste better the the vanilla

| Ok, the water thingy...after 3 days of drinking lots of water ( like they tell you) I have come to the conclusion that it is not working for me - I now feel like a bloated whale, have put on kgs ( fluid) and pee all night as well as day....gone back to the normal drinking habits.........
