| Thanks mine is a desk top too so I will try that. Not sure about unplugging it though. That is hard work in the maze behind the tower. I can't really get behind there unless I pull it all out. | |

| Oi - Linda - are you washed out at your place yet? Reckon the dams and tanks must be full by now. Unbelievable amount of rain we have had this year. Bucketing down as I write. Poor form, but I haven't been for a walk the last couple days. Usually don't use the rain as an excuse, but . . . . . . . motivation for anything is on the wane. Seem to be on a 'how quickly can I put on weight' binge! Not good. | |

| Linda, It will depend on whether you have a laptop or desk model. Mine is desk. I haven't done a really thorough job (couldn't be bothered today), but I got a small flat screwdriver to help pop SOME of the keys off the keyboard, then used a white vinegar in water solution, chux (dipped in the solution and rung out very well), lots of cotton buds. Oh, and of course I disconnected the keyboard from the computer first. The keys I couldn't be bothered getting off the keyboard (ie. most of them), I just wiped well with the chux. Amazing what a bit of vinegar and elbow grease can achieve. Zippy- plum pudding truffle recipe on the way by email. | |

| Apart from the posts having been lost, I don't mind. I prefer the name of this thread anyway. I was going to ask if they could transfer our posts to this thread, and delete the other one. Sooooooo . . . . . . . . . it looks like part of my unspoken request has been looked after. Oh well, such is life.
I just cleaned my computer keyboard. Unbelievable how smooth and clean the keys feel now. | |

| Hey Linda - I kind of beat you to it. I made a new home for us here a little while ago. Shall we toss a coin as to whose 'home' needs to be flattened? | |
