Okay I am back and I am going to start chatting. I have been hiding in shame because I have been way off track. But no more. I went for another fill yesterday and have 6.7 ml in my band so hoping that will help. I'm pissed because I have only just reached my Christmas day goal. Almost two months late. Positive thoughts and actions from now!

You are doing great Nicole. It won't be long before you meet you beautiful baby. How awesome that you will be ready to go with the band after the birth. I wish all the best. If you maintain you will actually have lost weight when the baby is born. Good luck. Do you know the sex
of the baby or are you going to find out?

Congrats on the baby Nicole, As you've got into the hang of the band by now, you should manage to keep it steady and not put on too much with the pregnancy. .... Try pinning up a picture of write out your goals and stick it on the fridge and any mirrors around. Makes you think twice before doing something you know you shouldn't!

Well, I am 21 weeks pregnant and cannot wait to have the baby to start losing weight again. I was down another 2 kilos but have put them back on in this last month.

Doctor gave me a fill last week so i can try and maintain my weight instead of putting it on.

Hey there Trish. So glad you jumped over. And well done on the losses.

Hi - I've finally made the leap over - been a bit slack in joining in recently.
I've been plodding along slowly, a bit too slowly sometimes, but I went for a check up last week and found I had now lost 11.5kg and Doc was at the stage would he or would he not do a fill. In the end we decided on a .5 ml fill so I now have 5.5ml. Day 5 after I had difficult eating - back to feeling what it was like when the band was initially done, but reading through some of the other comments, I gather a few others have felt this "sticking" which I hadn't for ages. Going to have less chewy things for a couple of days and see how I go. .. Half way there......
There's some really excellent losses in our listing, so go girls!!!

Great job Jess. It makes me feel lazy. I struggle to find motivation after the kids have gone to bed. I work full time so I like to spend time with the kids when I get home. I tend to be active with them like swimming and playing cricket, so plenty of incidental exercise just nothing really focussed. I play softball too but I certianly wouldn't call that exercise, more social. I just need to decide that at 730 every night I will do something. I am searching for motivation. .. Oh well... soon

thanks Renae I feel fantastic. Yes it has definately slowed down I can stay the same for 2 weeks sometimes. I think for me exercise has definately been the key. I do 1-2 zumba classes a week and 2-3 gym sessions a week. i only joined the gym recently so before that it was walking. I think if you find something you love to do it doesn't feel like an effort and for me that's zumba I just love it so much fun.

You are going amazing Jess. Well done. Have you noticed any slowing yet. I think I need to exercise now. I have gone so far without any exercise but I think my time has come to get busy.

Well I saw my surgeon yesterday, he agreed with me that I probably didn't need a fill right now expecially if i am still losing weight. But suggested that I go back and see him in 6 weeks and re assess, he thinks maybe 0.25 mil might be enough for the next one just to tweak a little.

A smaller loss this week. I think it could have been more had I had eaten a disgusting thing they had a nerve to call a salad. I think I will be questioning more when ordering in future, something I never did in the past.

Quite a big turn a round for me this week. Lowest I have been since banding. I am feeling like my head is in a really good place. My friend yesterday couldn't stop looking at me. I hadn't seen her since before Christmas. Very exciting to be back on track again. And I hope it keeps going.

Feeling a bit dissappointed and low. Why cant it be easier than this. I start the day really well. I pack what I need to take to work. Then get mega hungry by the time I get home and eat everything I can see. Usually bad stuff. Today I am going to take more healthy stuff and see how I go.

Hi Ladies, I have the same problem trying to decide if I need another fill. I didn't lose over December so immediately thought I needed another fill but the reality is the fill will not help with Alcohol consumption. I am going to see how I go over the next week or so and then decide.

I am happy to say I broke through the goal to get to 95 even it is 3 weeks later than I had aimed for. Still happy to be here.

I hope this means I am back on track.

Jess that is so right. I do not want to be in the situation where I can't eat salads etc but want some restriction in the amount I can eat. ATM I feel I can eat quite a bit. This morning I ate 2 pieces of toast with 2 eggs and couldnt really say i was full. It would be good to have the amount regulated while still enjoying salads etc.

sharon - that's exactly how i feel I only get little sticks most of the time and in the last 6 months have only had 3 major ones where I have had to bring it back up but as you say I am so close to perfect restiction but worry about what food I won't be able to eat if I have another fill. I have really been enjoying eating salads and I know that's one thing that I may have trouble with if I get another fill. It's such a difficult situation to be in.

I know what you mean by not wanting to be restricted in what you eat. I feel the same. I am getting tiny sticks which clear themselves which is telling me I am close because I in no way want to live with constant sticks and vomiting. That is not for me. I want to be able eat salads and vegetables and fruit.

I haven't been this weight in probably about 10 years so I feel absolutely ecstatic

Haven't been to see the surgeon in a couple of months but booked in for the beginning of feb. not sure that I want anymore fill in, its really hard to say as I still get things stuck fairly frequently (mostly down to eating too quickly) and I know that my portions are probably too big but I just don't want to be too restricted in what I can eat.

Thanks ladies.. I do feel so different I feel like a completely different person, I have a new found confidence and finally feel like things that were only once a pipe dream are actually possible for me.

Getting the band is the best thing I have ever done..I don't deny that it's difficult at times and very frustrating but the benefits far outweigh it all.

Well I finally hit 30kgs lost such a good feeling and so close to double digits.
