| What is it with chocolate? I mean, I've always liked it, but never had as much desire to eat it as I have since banded. I used to eat it occasionally, if I really felt a burning desire. But these days the burning desire, almost need, seems to be there all the time. It's a strange one.
Anyone else feel the same? | |

I think because I had this on my mind I am having some success in stopping when I sense I've had enough but not stuffed full, this is good :) How are you going with that one Kirsten? And how's the swimming / gym going girls? I am still in the *planning* stage there, sheesh. My next one day goal is to not buy economy packets of freddo frogs when I go shopping. Pfft, it's false economy at best. What I need to do is buy one lonely little frog as a treat for Mia, stop. |

| I never eat before I do my aqua pool sessions or walk. If I do I feel like I could bring it up. I guess we are all different. Delia | |

| My first one day goal is to begin to tune into what my 'softstop' for eating is. This is my body's subtle signals that tell me to stop eating before I actually become full/ overeat/ stretch my stomach and therefore work against the band.
Tara just posted a really useful article on this in the fills thread.
Good to know! |

| I have to say the motivation to drink lots of water diminishes in proportion to how cold it gets, and how much walking I do. My 1 day goal today was to walk 2km's....... Wow, I did it! Haven't been able to walk that far in ages. My one day goal tomorrow is to walk 3.6km's. Hope the weather does not get too hot. I also need to work on my water consumption. Have a good day all. | Me too - I can't seem to get the water working. I'm going to drink all the water I'm supposed to, and hit the crosstrainer for half an hour today! | |

| I really need to throw some arm weights into my exercise routine too... I remember last time I was losing weight I was doing 3 days of cardio and 2 days of weights and it really helped with the weight loss.. all the best for your weights this arvo Beth.. I did get light headed today because I walk in the hydrotherapy pool which is about 30 degrees so it gets very hot, my blood pressure dropped a couple of times. So next time I'll have breakfast and see if that makes any difference to my BP. Let me know how your experiment goes! | |

| Well done, kellie! If you are buggered then you have worked hard! Breakfast is important - it kick starts the metabolism for the day. I did read one article though, that said that you get the best fat burning by exercising on anempty stomach and before breakfast is ideal. having said that though, I would imagine you would run out of steam very quickly though and perhaps get light headed. Hmm...maybe I will do an experiment and see which I prefer....! I did 1 hour aerobics (step & boxing, with some upper arm weights yesterday. Aiming for a repeat this afternoon. | |
