Hi guys its been a while. lots to tell....
to start i'm finally a wife i got married in Phuket on the 11.4 what a great day i got down to goal and a little less down to 65kg. woohoo
but in saying that i am back up to 67kg now i am back at the gym 5 days a week. what is that all about?
now im back i think i need a refresher course in what i am ment to be eating I may be over eating.
what is every one been up to any thing exciting happening?
can't wait to hear from you all

Back at work after near two weeks off ! took ages for the swelling to go down !
When i get up in the morning it is very tight and takes ages to get a coffee down so i don't attempted food till 11ish
Dr said it could take weeks to settle back to normal ..
On the upside i lost 4.3 kilo not a good way too i know !

Well today it's been 12 months since i was banded my life has changed so much.
and hope fully only more great things to come i would like to thank all of you for your support over the last 12 months you have helped me so much ! ....34 kilos gone and another 10 to go and i am at my goal weight life is good !!

So, after all my stress of a few weeks, and not being able to eat solids for a while, I finally got a chance to see my doc yesterday. I asked for a whole 1 ml out. He said "Are you sure???" I said yep!

Well, what a difference. I have been able to eat, & drink, easily, but still have a degree of restriction. No reflux issues.

I now have 3.75 ml in my 7 ml band, which is very interesting considering that on my day of surgery he put 4 ml in from the start!

I will be monitoring my weight (obviously) but seeing as though the weight didn't drop off like I thought it would whilst I was having issues, I suspect my poor body was in starvation mode. I just hope I don't gain, but it may happen a little bit initially...

He did say that if I did gain weight, that I was to come back sooner rather than later!!!

What a relief!!!

Thank you, Tara, Tracey, Kirsten and Tanya. I certainly never set out to be an inspiration for anyone, but I say this:

I haven't finished my journey, but even if I do not lose another ounce gram, all I can say to anyone even remotely considering this surgery, as someone who has been overweight since puberty, and obese my entire adult life, if I can do this....anyone can!!!

I know that it isn't over....that things can change and the weight can come back....BUT....I feel my attitude to life has changed so much that I don't think I would mentally allow myself to get big again. I cannot believe how much living I have missed out on!!!

You can ALL do this!!!

I have to say, that I love my surgeon. He has not been intrusive, he has allowed me to make my own decisions regarding fills (and unfills!). He guides me and gives advice where I need it. He never made me go to a dietician or a shrink, or has another doctor do fills, never to be seen again (although sometimes his wife - also a doctor - does fills, but he is always there too!). Thank you, Oliver, for the new me....!

Lol we went for a family day up to falls creek and walked into Wallaces hut its about 2 klm in bush on a lovely walking track
Coming back out my eldest grandson Jarrod (10) said 'Hey Nan race you to the car'! So off we went we were flying along and i heard this voice behind me yelling :Nan stop stop" ! It was Matthew (8) 'you shouldn't run like that he said you could break your bones' ! I laughed so hard because to him i am old and breakable (i am only 45 yrs old ) So i had to walk back to the car holding his hand ! I still giggle to myself when i think about it ! Well i guess i am a Nana so i must be old to them ! Cheers Guys hope everyone is well and loving their new life's its a wonderful thing this band i love it !!!

Helped my son move house yesterday what an amazing difference in agility to twelve months ago
i cleaned the huge lounge (walls and roof.. Washed the polish floor boards )
Srubbed the shower, toilet, and laundry! roof and walls included..washed all the floors
then helped pack and unload the trailer twice plus decobbweb the whole house inside and out !
And was not puffed or tired felt wonderful this time last year i would have been knocked up for days and would have been able to do only 1\4 of the work..
Today got up and went shopping and to trash and treasure then we decided to walk to the top of huon creek hill never been able to make it to the top but today i did !! life is wonderful and i am so happy to be me (Back is feeling great not even a twinge )....

Thank you trace ! They are worth it in every way i love them to bits !

Makes it all worth staying around and being happy and healthy for those beautiful grandchildren of yours Suzzie precious little things

Not a good day today over did the walking yesterday and am in pain today..
Yes this twelve months has gone fast for me too
I can not believe the weight i have lost 32 kilo all up !
I also look at myself in the mirror and can not see the weight loss i still think i am fat !
my face is different i can see that ! i still have my jelly belly which i despise !
But i am in size 14 which is baggy around the butt but firm around the tummy
and it all depends on the cut of clothes some are size 16 but all in all i am happy with my achievements..
life is much better for both me and my hubby he looks amazing gone from size 117 to 87
He is the size that he was 30 years ago when we started going out !
My husbands family won't mention our weight loss as they are all bigger people and i think they are not happy with us for doing this !
as now we are no longer the biggest sad for them but i really don't care what they think !
My family are different so much praise and compliments.
My sister keeps trying to dress me up with all the latest fashions and bling lol..
Our kids and grandkids are wonderful the best is when your 6 yrs old grandson says
nanny you are beautiful and you are not fat anymore you are normal like me! God love him ..
As my mother inlaw would say threw the eye's of babes.... cheers sue.....

Wow! Beth you are an inspiration and I can only hope to experience the kind of results you have achieved in just 12 short months. I know you say you cant really see the weight loss for what it really is, but you must know that its a huge amount of weight and that I bet you look amazing! Well done

Welcome back, Suzzie!

Glad to hear things are on the up & up and you are back on track. Things are moving very slowly for me now, but that is OK, I am not too stressed by it (well, not this week, anyway!) I feel so good, I just wish I had been able to do this YEARS ago. I love the compliments I get, though my brain is still finding it hard to adjust...I look in the mirror, and really can't see much difference in my body (I can see it in my face) but obviously there is some cos I am now in size 14 instead of a 24. Although even my size 14 pants are starting to get a little baggy around the bum and legs. Pity the top half is a little slower to catch up. Still have a bit roll around the midriff despite all the exercise and of course, the floppy belly!

Anyway, all good here. Can't believe how quickly the time has passed. Next month it will be a whole year since banding! I never would have imagined that this is where I would be up to by now...(of course I hoped it though!). Wow, what a ride!

Hi guys back again .
Feeling much better now pain almost gone and am walking again put on three kilo's while down and out !
But happy to say that got 1.5 kilo's already gone ..
I have degenerative desease in my lower back around old injury and weakened muscles.
So very easy to injure so need to be a bit careful.
No gym for me yet just walking and gentle stretching ..
How is everyone else ??? cheers ...
