| Beth my son down loaded the complete set for me of the internet and its awesome we did about 1/2 hour that was enough for me i sweated like hell but after wards i felt great ! belly got away a couple of times and i do think a good bra is in order ! lol i am like you i have this lovely skirt that hangs and also an extra set of boobs around my midrift i will try to get rid of that but i will need surgery with the skirt ! also i use to have large boobs but now long deflated things that just hang around looking sad and dejected so i will get a lift and i was told they will injected your own fat into them not sure if that is true or not ? so my opinion of zumba its great !cheers ... | |

| Hey Suzzie!
Is that the set that was at Target??? I would be really interested in your opinion on it, cos I was looking at it as a way to rid myself of that "big fat floppy belly" that I have too, as well as this horrid midriff bulge that I have.
The belly I think though is a lost cause...I think I am gonna leave that one to the experts and have it chopped off! I am definitely going to have my boobs perkified though. I have never ever had nice boobs - they have always been too big and saggy (sorry if too much information!). Well, no more - that is number one on my list for things to do when I reach goal!
Let us know how the Zumba goes!

| I am feeling great, Renae. It is very hard to get motivated to exercise when it isn't something that you have ever done, but gosh, when the scales move in the right direction, that sure is motivating! At the moment, I am losing about a pound a day (which is phenomenal and probably won't last!) so that is a real motivator. I am eating 3 meals a day, size restricted, and 2 small snacks...usually rice crackers, or Vita Weets and Vegemite, or Forme yoghurt. I have finally found the level of exercise I need to re-kick start me...I just hope I can sustain it. Hunger is not too bad. I probably need about a quarter of a ml more fill just to keep the edge off, but otherwise, I am ecstatic. I am now at probably the lowest weight I have been in 30 years. I am absolutely gobsmacked. I am wearing a size 16 pair of shorts that I bought a couple of weeks ago, and they are loose! Who would have thought? I was wearing a size 24 pants 1 year ago. Tops I am in am 18, though they are just now starting to loosen up. I could probably wear a 16 but I don't like them to be body-fitting - I still have a midriff bulge that I am not happy about displaying. I wish so much that I had done this years ago - I feel I have wasted so much time on being fat and miserable!

| Well done Beth. That just might be motivating enough to get me off my backside. We shall see. Keep up the great work. | |

| Hi Suzzie and all May Bandits!
I have been on holidays all this week, and have really upped the exercise. I bought a Wii Active 2 exercise program for Christmas, and have been working out at least 30 mins a day. Being on holidays, I have increased that to one and a half hours (at least!) a day. It is aerobics, weights, core, upper body, lower body exercises programmed. Different everyday, plus what I program in what I want to do! Burning at least 450 cals a day.
Well who'd have thought exercise is the thing to kick start the weight loss again? I have been stuck at 91-92kg for ages. (I got to 89.5 on Decemeber 1st, then had a reflux issue and had a little fill out - over Christmas - it wasn't good). Got some fill back in, so have good restriction again. Now the exercise, I am off and running again. I have lost a lot of weight this week - making sure I am drinking heaps of water, so it isn't water weight. Funny thing is with all the exercise, my hunger isn't too bad! I have a few Vita weet Rice crackers to munch on when those pangs hit.
Feeling great. Go me! LOL!

| My poor kitty cat had an accident... She cut her tummy open on something outside and needed to have late night surgery on Tueday night. She's going well now though and is recovering nicely. She has to wear a cone head collar and she is NOT happy about that! She keeps running into things and is very upset that she cannot groom herself!!! Weight loss is going well, I have only 2kgs to go and I will be back to where I was before I went off the rails. I am listening to my body more, and am recognising when I have had enough and actually stopping, rather than keeping on eating just because I think I need to eat what is on my plate (Only habbits die hard). I've been noticing a bit of shoulder tip pain lately, of an evening mostly... Not sure if this is band related or not, as I didn't really have shoulder tip pain when I was banded. It is on the back of my shoulder, where the joint is... Maybe I've just been sitting at the computer wrongly or something??? So glad I found this forum :0) | |

| Hi Guys,
Well, went for my post Christmas visit...gained a kg, but as I have been ravenous and eating not surprised.
Had 0.5ml put in. Total of 5ml hopefully back on track again. Had great restriction at 5ml before. Fingers crossed.
Soup for dinner tonight.
Hate being back at work. Sigh.

| Hi all! I have been back on track for a week now, and have managed to drop just over three of the seven kgs I gained in the past three months. Yay! go me!!! I have a wedding to go to in two weeks and just tried on the dress I want to wear... IT FITS! yay! It is the same dress I wore to my sisters wedding three months back, and I was 4kgs lighter then, maybe I can kick off that before this wedding and I will be feeling confident! | |

| Hi all! So happy to have found you all again! How dare they ruin our old forum! It is so scary back there. Well, an update on me... Things have gone a little off road, I put on weight, and not just a small amount either, I stacked a whopping 7kgs back on in the past three months... Why? Because I got lazy and allowed myself to eat whatever I wanted, whenever I wanted... It got ugly for a while there, but I am back now, and I have managed to lose 2kgs of that 7 and am continuing to keep heading down again!!! So happy to be back here! I like that we can share pics here too! Maybe I will put my before and now shots up a bit later... | |

| Thanks, Suzzie... What a year to reflect upon. This time last year I was in the US on holiday for 2 months, feeling every ounce of my obese weight. I gave up smoking in San Diego on December 18 cos I was so ill with the flu. The shopping at the post Christmas sales in New York was fabulous, but I couldn't enjoy it cos I was so fat (wish I was there now tho!!!!). When we came home, I decided that I had to do something about it because I was slowly killing myself, I was depressed inwardly (outwardly, I was the life of the party!) and I felt disgusting. I hated the way you are treated as a fat person. I asked around and made an appointment to see a surgeon. I was banded within 4 weeks of my first decision. And... I have not regretted one solitary second. I feel fantastic. I absolutely adore the compliments and the reactions of people. I love shopping for clothes - in "normal" stores. Whilst this last two weeks have seen me gain a little weight cos I have had some fill out due to tightness, I am coping. I am back on Jan 4 to have a top up (could have gone yesterday, but what the hey...may as well enjoy Christmas...it's at my place and we are having seafood - nothing too bad!). So to all my new found kindred spirits, I wish a joyous Christmas....and a fabulous New You for the New Year. Love & Best wishes from me.... | |
