Has anyone used TUH as a PHI for lapband?

I was out of pocket $3.500 after the medical insurance (medibank private) paid.
Ring them and make sure they do cover bands as some are not doing it now.
Medicare pay a small amount.
I will depend on what the Doctor charges above the fee. I think your hospital will be covered but you insurance.
It can cost up to $16,000.00 if you have no medical cover.

It all depends which surgeon you go through and which Hospital he/she works from as to what your out of pocket costs will be.
I'm trying to remember but I think the out of pocket can be anywhere from $5000 to $12,000.

But there are ways to reduce that cost - like going as an Intermediate Patient in a Public Hospital.

Make sure you investigate and research all 3 surgery options.
Lap Band, Vertical Sleeve Gastrectomy & Gastric Bypass before you decide on one.
