Linda,

LOL I was thinking that too - the Samoans are big (and I would be magically skinny) but next to all the big people I would look EXTRA skinny AND it would be beautiful weather AND I would have a nice tan !!

See I got all that just from a wrong timezone.
Glad it didn't come up as a depressing timezome/country - just imagine what my head would have done with that !!

Ba ha

Losin It,

You da bomb - thanks. (Fixed it.)

My timezone somehow had me in Samoa and now all I want is to be there in the warm and I am magically skinny.
Yep crossed the timezone and became skinny.

Tara - try going to "Profile" (3rd tab from right), then select "Preferences" (which is 2nd tab from left I think, under the main tabs) and scroll down to select your timezone.

HI Girls I am back been in Brissy helping a freind this week and did not open the laptop. I guess I was just to busy and now home and have Mum to visit.
I love my egg maker and yes it is an Aldi also.
I brought chicken bacon at Aldi yesterday. Not to bad for a really low fat low carb and no sugar item.

no it wasn't burnt on the bottom but there were dirty marks on the hotplate

I only did them medium I don't know what would happen if they went longer for hard

They peeled easy and they were really fresh. Usually they are a nightmare to shell when really fresh.

I just boiled eggs in it. I am going to make scotch eggs with chicken mince (dukan recipe). My eggs were actually touching the hot plate thing that the water goes in. Is this right?

I love my egg cooker... its in daily use in this house. I love it to cook my boiled eggs in the morning...not that boiling them is rocket science but I can put them in there go off and do something else and the buzzer goes off to remind me they are done.... and always to perfection.

Best $20 I ever spent I recon!

Thanks Trish, I will have a look at it.

I am impressed with my poached eggs. I do prefer my round ones but I can put up with the shape. Very easy to use.

start putting your daily food intake through MyfitnessPal.com Linda, its free ... it helps emensly and it counts carbs, fibre and protein and calories so it shows you what to work on.

It has made an incredible difference to my food choices. Withthe sleeve they advise you to aim for 70 g of protein a day and less than 50 carbs.... for weightloss

I have been on the tablets for 6 weeks. I feel a lot better. Not cured but not as bad as it was. I take a half in the morning and if I am having a bad day another half at lunchtime. Usually just a half and they are low dose so hopefully no addiction. I felt so good last friday I didn't take one as a trial but got the dizzys in the PM and it took a few days to get back on an even keel.

Cold! it is bitter here too. Yesterday it didn't go over 6. Today is going to be worse and we might get some snow.

When I was in aldi yesterday they had those egg cookers for $20 so I bought one. I will trial poached egg this morning. I am also trying to eat more protein so will give the egg boiler a crack soon.

How is everyone doing. Its fudging cold here and everything has been frozen over every morning for the past 4 days.

Nights are icy cold as well. It has come on all of a sudden. The days are glorious. Warm and sunny and delicious. But over night and first thing in the morning its so cold you can feel it bite.

I had my first round of the root canal done to my tooth. It releived the pain but its tender up under the tooth at the moment and my jaw is stiff. I am on antibiotics and its giving me acid in the tummy. I need to get some probiotics again and start shooting them. Its no huge acid but just enough to make me feel like hunger is gnawing at me so I am driven to eat.

Not much can be done about it, it is what it is so I will play nice till this course is done then I will work on fixing it up.

How is the dizzies going Linda... are they still responding well to the new tabs?

Hey Loosinit, how you doing hon? I think of you daily and hope your finding it a bit easier.

Thanks ladies. I have taken anti-d's before, and they just weren't right for me, I felt better when I stopped taking them. Maybe this variety will help. Not expecting any miracles, I know they take a while to kick in.

As I said to the doctor, no-one else is responsible for my weight, I have to accept all liability for that myself. Once again, the challenge seems insurmountable, and it appears the lightening moment I have been patiently waiting for is not going to come, so I will have to half-heartedly attempt something. Perhaps once I start, the enthusiasm will kick in and lead me on . . . . . . . . but I'm not holding my breath for that. I'm always better off going full steam ahead from the start.

There's always a first time, maybe that's around the corner.

2 weeks on the anti black hound meds will help hugely.... I used to take my little pill religiously and it got me through a really dark period.

If you die having a heart attack...I will kill you! I demand you stay here, the world needs the honesty you bring to it.

Still not much feeling like food today. I think I managed 450 calories. I am currently drinking a glass of iced water.

Im not sick or in pain just not hungry and when I make my self eat I feel like I just want to spit it out cos I have already eaten a large meal. Its not unpleasant at all it just is what it is I spose.

Nothing wrong with blood pressure medication Loosingit. I hope the meds kick in quickly to improve your mood. It must be crap to feel like that. We are here for you. You just have to give us a hoi.

So the good news is . . . . . . . . . . . . absolutely nothing! Blood test results: cholesterol a bit high (much higher than I have ever had - it's always been low), Vitamin D low (surprise surprise - that's what happens when you hibernate during winter), and blood pressure too high. Have to go back in 2 weeks and if blood pressure is still high he will give me medication.

I'm not quite sure why I should have high blood pressure now. Sure, the weight is a factor, but I have been heavier (I think) and only in the last 18 months have I had some higher readings. Coincidentally, this corresponds with giving up exercise and taking HRT.

Prescribed anti-depressants today (perhaps the flood of tears last week had a bearing), so when you add in the heavy smoking, I'm just a walking timebomb. A normal person would do something about this. I just don't care if I die, it would be the end of all my problems. The unfortunate thing would be if I survive a heart attack or stroke.

Life is good (apparently). Hope everyone else is making the most of it.
