| I went to the Salt water pool again today and it was great. I walked 20 laps took 30 mins and then did 15 of aqua exercises. A few laps of swimming to finish off. | |

| WellI joined workout on demand and did my first classes, a step class and a hip hop class. They were half an hour each and I feel good I used to be a gym junkie and was obsessed with step classes so it felt really comfortable which is good. I like that I can do it when I want and hoping to get lots of variety as there are new downloads every week. We shall see. For now a good start to the week. | |

| Hi all. Has anyone used the website workout on demand. It is a membership based site wher you can access around 100+ workouts for $11 a month. I think it would be great for variety. I'm just wondering about the quality of the workouts? | |

| Well done Cate! It will get easier the more you do it. The first week is so tough. l remember stopping every 500 m or so at the start to get my breath back. Then after a month or so l would get sore shins for the first 15 or 20 mins until l warmed up, then l was okay for the next 15 or 20 mins. Now l can walk for 90 mins without losing puff, but just getting a nice muscle tiredness. Stick with the walking if you can, and if you miss a day then don't stress it, just try to make sure it doesn't stretch into 3 or 4 days away from walking as it's too easy to stop completely. You've done the toughest part - keeping at it for 5 days in a row is great! If you can keep with it for a month or so it becomes habit and something you actually look forward to :-) | |

| Just back from 3 wonderful days down the coast. Walked miles each day swam in the pools and surfed. It was just about perfect weather except for the heat but it did not stop us morning and evening. Of course we ate as well but I don't think there is any damage to the scales. I am feel really good and can not believe I did what I did.

| Hi Cate I find walking and exercising in water good exercise to strengthen the knee. Mind you I would struggle to walk an hour on land. Some days are much harder than others. I am exercising to put off knee surgery for both legs as long as possible. Margot ps I am one of those in their 60's | |

| Hi Delia I did it...1 hour walk, with lab, and hubby...it was great, I really enjoyed it...... I am 56, and have found this not an easy journey, weight is not moving at all now, really have only lost about 12kgs since op ( about 13kgs before)...yes had a cruise and xmas, but.........( see August 2010 thread) The vomiting has settled down again the last few days, thank god, I seem to have days where I just vomit, and pain, and other days are fine, it seems to come in 'waves'.......possibly something upsets my stomach which causes the vomiting, just a guess...... I am going to try and walk again tomorrow, and my son has just returned home for a while and wants to start me at the gym ( god help me...lol)......but I know if I overdo it the knee pain will start again..... Thanks for your support, and all the others here....xoxoxoxoox Cate | |
