| Zippy- that is the one! I have to laugh though at myself sometimes! I was sitting on the loo the other day in the nude (TMI) and was looking at all the wobbly bits and stretch marks and saggy boobs but still felt proud of my weight loss achievements despite the saggy bits! Even my stretch marks and c-section marks I am proud of! At least I can wear clothes! hehe | |

| MsKirsten - totally agree with you about the boob job - take me 2 year to save. Does anybody know the Item No.s for Breast Reduction. I will need a tummy tuck to as I have one of those aprons absolutely hate it - but that will have to wait to. I am with MBF and they will cover if its not cosmetic, most Surgeons know there way around that one. Westy | |

| Yes it is indeed hard to be happy with the large weight loss when you see the trade off you get with loose skin and cucumber boobs. At least a tummy tuck is mostly covered but I agree a tidy up on the norks would be a benefit... beats having to tuck them into a bra everyday | |

| I am soooooo getting a boob job when the weight comes off. But between losing some weight & slipping another baby in, I think it will be in about 2 years maybe. | |

| I think it sucks that private health doesnt cover breast lifts etc. we have lost a serious amount of weight and of course in most cases are boobies are not where they are suppose to be. I know its classified as cosmetic not reconstruction but its not like I'm doing this to make them huge & perky than they were, I just want them put back where they used to be and look a little like they were before I lost all this weight :-( ok my winge over... p.s I think its hard to look in the mirror and be happy with what you see then you take your bra off and your boobies hit your knees hahaaa | |

| ok well I spoke to HBF and my policy does not cover boob jobs! so I will have to start saving my pennies because as far as I am aware a boob job can be up to $10,000 but I am still determined to get one..... I saw an advert for a new push up bra from Target the other day....christmas present to myself!!! | |

| I've been to see a couple of surgeons (last Dec acutally) I was suppose to have surgery Jan this year but chickened out, well not so much chicken just trying to fit it into my work schedule. I'm going to go back early next year and see about getting surgery around May/June (in the cooler months) don't want to think about the $$$ though, I've heard over east is a lot cheaper | |

TARA Tara...yes!!!! It started in my left boob, now it's both. Breathtaking is the word!!!! Horrid. I am hoping it settles down. I am definitely aiming for a reduction and "perkifying" for the future!

| Speaking of boobs.... Does anyone else suffer from excruciating pain when they take their bra off, and ...well,...let the girls swing free? I still have large boobs, not as big as before, but probably more south than they used to be, and I am simply in agony when they get "released"!!!! Anybody else suffering??? | |

| Hi All - I rang Dr Cockburns office Brissy Qld this morning about Breast Reduction - not that they want to give away much over the phone. Initial Appointment $175.00 ($70.00 back from Medicare) His Fee: $5000 Gas Man $1200 Plus I have to ring MBF to find out if I can get anything back. So all in all I think thats a reasonible price have rung a few other Surgeons and they were about $10,000 Westy | |

| Westy,
I haven't personally had any work done (yet), but have heard very good reports of William Cockburn in Brisbane. He is the current President of the Australian Society of Plastic Surgeons. Other than word of mouth, I guess you could ring the society in your state and ask who they might be able to recommend. Perhaps they don't do that, but might be able to let you know who specialises in your particular field of interest.

| Hey all. Has anybody had a Breast Reduction. I live in Brisbane and looking for some information on a good Surgeon. Are you able to claim anything back from Private Health Insurance/Medicare - and what is the average cost. There seems to be so many Surgeons out there how do you pick the best. Val | |
