So much has happened to you. In a way good you will get something back but like you say when?? is the question.
We don't check in her often so the others will respond when they check in.
I hope you back is not getting worse.
Think about the sleeve and read Debs posts as well as the others.

Hi Everyone ,
 well a update into my battle of the band ! As you all know i wrote a strong three page letter to the medical board in relation to my missing in action Dr ! 
 I have only just heard from them last week .
 They agree that i have a case against Tamaris and that she should pay my money back to me so that i can get my band fixed problem is she is over sea's and they need to get a response from her before they can claim my money back from her insurance company and this could take years ! Were is the justice seems the law and insurance companies are always protected ! In the mean time i am meant to wait .. So after many months of waiting and persisting and a 9 kilo weight gain i went and had all fluid removed from band as i had a great fear damage was been done to my ephogast ! Dr Fidge was wonderful and we talked at great length about what my next step would be he told me we have a new specialist in town who would be happy to take me on and did a referal for me to see him Adam Chitzowitz !
Dr Fidge was wonderful and suggested that i should look at sleeving which gives you more of a normal life !
I drove home feeling empty and sad that my band had let me down and now my body would turn on me once again and  sitting in my seat i could actually feel the weight of fat slowly creeping back to me a feeling i felt i had defeated years ago ... I got home and pinned my new found hope a referal onto the fridge and thought i will ring Monday ..But the week got to busy and i forgot .. Tuesday i got a call from Dr Millers office they left a message on my phone to ring i was flat out at work so got hubby to ring it was to send my records off to a Dr to have a look at  i thought nothing of it and then i remembered to ring the new Dr so i did and they had an appointment for me in October the 8th  then she told me that they already had my records and that Dr fidge had rang Adam and the night i saw him and organised for me to see him and to take over from Tamaris so i am super excited (Thank you so Much Julian Fidge you rock ) He has discussed with Adam the benefits of the sleeve and how it will be a better option for me so now its a hang out till my appointment and a battle of me against the terrible weight demon and the scales ! 0 So Ladies i would love all your stories of the sleeve please what it involves and the price mainly as i need to save save save lol ..
 And the back will lets say its stuffed and i now live on a cocktail of very dangerous drugs but these drugs keep me reasonably pain free just the odd twinge but i don't like what they are doing to me last month i decided to try to wean off them with the help of my GP so we dropped the dose but within a week i was a mess the pain was so debilitating and i had to go straight back on to them again  next year in January i will have another MRI and if futher damage i will demand surgery to fix the disc's and straighten the spine .. will that is my story for now hope to hear how you all are cheers Suzzie ....

Suzzi I read your posts and hope you get all this settled out soon.

wow suzzie, you're onto it. Keep us posted as to what happens. Really hope you start feeling better soon and can get this all sorted out. Sounds like you're making positive steps though, and as i said, keep us posted.

I have the Medical association of australia dealing with it all . They say she has failed in her duty of care towards me her patient and they are writing her insurance company to get my money refunded to me as will as the lawyers Blackburn and Milton in Melbourne are putting pressure on the insurance company as well as they handle a lot of lap band cases . So i will wait and see what happens with that ! But thanks any way for your concern .. Cheers suzzie

Hi Suzie

Lots of people get theirs out on medicare. Can you look into that. I would then go the sleeve. I would just let it go with Tamaris. If she isn't even in the country you are going to have a lot of angst for nothing.

Hi Guys ,
I am looking for any one who had their lap bands done by Tamaris hoffman !
She has gone doing charity work in poverty stricken countries and that is fine good for her but she has also left me and many others in a bad situation she handed her practice and paitents to Mr Francis Miller who refuses to see or have any thing to do with lap bands and has a gp doing fills As my warranty stays with my surgeon i now have to pay another surgeon an addition $3500.00 to have it fixed ! I am so angry right now i am seeking legal advice on Tamaris duty of care towards me she did not even let her paitents know she was leaving not even a letter or phone call just gone so any one wishing to seek action also please contacted me on here or email me on sue.condron@hotmail.com cheers suzzie
