| I guess a few of us say juju. lol My sister was eating one the other day and she said the best brand was something called 'chop chop' i think. My sick dog ate some today and she didn't mind it. lol I'm sure its as with most things...its what you do with it. Megz i love quiche...maybe i'll try it. Chicken and eggs...never thought of it like that before...lol debs | |

| Lol @ Debs - I thought I was the only person who says 'juju'!
I was highly suspicious of the tinned chicken at first, specially when my other half opened a tin and I realised it looks EXACTLY like the chicken in the low fat Fancy Feast my cat likes.... But after he ate some and approved it, I put a tin of the smoke flavored one in a quiche I made and it was lovely.
Don't buy the Heinz brand though, it's a total rip-off. Our local Woolies sells another brand (I can't recall the name of it right now, but I'll check the next time I'm in there) and when I looked at the label, it contained something like 69% chicken, as opposed to the Heinz which was only 53%!
Since then I've made a chicken and egg salad with it and that was also v. nice - I have a feeling it's a bit wrong to eat a chicken and a pre-chicken in the same dish, tho.

| I think I had the heinz one. It was ok but pretty small for the price. I prefer to have a roast chook and then put some left over chicken in the magic bullet and add whatever I feel like. Much cheaper. | |

| I have the Heinz Tinned Chicken Mayo and Mustard and i don't mind the taste. It's just shredded chicken breast which why it is stringy. I like to roll it in mountain bread with avocado and hope it goes down. | |

Probably the same way salmon and tuna and anything else canned does...probably vacuum packed...all the air is removed so they don't oxidise.... Doiesn't do anything for the flavour tho...the chicken is just horrible. Probably explains why it hasn't been done before... | |

| I have tried them... yeah.... Im not real bright but then thats no secret... I found them tasteless..the chicken was stringy and dry... In my humble opinion... go buy a bbq chook, besides you get more bang for your buck.

| I agree...they are awful! I thought they would be good to take to work, but they are just horrid. I have tried a couple of different brands. All bad in my opinion. I'll stick to salmon (I hate tuna!) | |

| Yes I tried them hoping they would be an easy option. I'm always jealous of people who can have tuna and salad for lunch ( I don't like tuna). But I didn't like them at all. It may be a texture thing but I tried a few different ones and didn't like any of them. Bugger! | |

| I had one of these little tins of chicken for lunch today and I thought was terrible. The flavour was ok but the chicken itself was these little bits of stringy stuff. I thought the calorie count was high for what it was. It was Select brand from Coles maybe other brands may be nicer. Has anyone else tried these and can give their opinion. | |
