| I got ready for work on the weekend and discovered that I have to roll the top of my work pants over to keep them from falling down. I should invest in a belt, because up until now I havent had the need for one! YAY! | |

I do that too! Funny how we get 'stuck' in our own experience... a little quote from Anais Nin springs to mind 'we don't see the world as it is, we see it as we are' - it's right too, we always see things from our own perspective!

| I have just had a big NSV.
I ruthlessly cleaned out my wardrobe. I have gotten rid of every single piece of "fat clothes" that I have hoarded over the years. I have 7 large garbage bag-fulls that I am about to take to the Salvation Army. Anything from a big size 16 to a large size 26 - is gone! This has been a very cathartic exercise...not to mention I now have HEAPS of room in my wardrobe that I can fill with my size 12 bottoms and 14 tops!!! Yee Haaaaaaaa!

| Went out for tea last night to what we call the pig pen (it is our local club smorgas board ) we have not done this for ages .. when we were larger we were very self consious and hated that people seem to watch us and laugh you always knew they were discussing what was on your plate and how much you had it was very clear you were their topic of discussion ! but last night we were the norm know one was interested in watching us !we sat there watching all the people going back and forward loading up their plates with huge amounts of food and going back for seconds even thirds the plates are large serves and they were piled up mountains high and there is so much food on offer including soup salads roasts chinese and lots of yummy deserts ! my point is before banding that was me i was the one loading up going back and forwards to the baemarie mountains of food on my plate hoeing into it ! But last night i saw what all those people saw and talked about because john and i did the same thing but the difference is i feel sorry for them i wanted to go and say to them hey listen there is this wonderful thing that i know and i think it could help you ! But i sat threre and watched and listened to horrible comments directed towards the larger community milling around the baemaries feeling sad !... sue | |

| You're right losingit, I am in a size 16 pair of jeans right now & I bought another pair of 16 jeans and they dont fit, I'll probably have to lose another 3-4kgs before they do up so all clothes are different & everyone loses weight in different places.. I just want my gut to go away lol
Fill time tomorrow YAY!!

| I think i'm like you loosingit. I see on those ads people say....I lost 12kgs and dropped three dress sizes! Wha???? LOL I've lost three stone and have dropped maybe a size and a half. You're right, we are all different and at least we're loosing. Can't belive you've dropped 50kgs! That is awesome! | |

| Debs I think the size thing is relative. I have heard of people dropping 10kgs and losing a couple sizes. I could lose 20kgs and still be the same size (yes, with exercise included). At my biggest, I had to lose around 40kgs or more before people said 'have you changed your hair or something, you look different'! I think in the early stages I didn't wear a different size until I'd lost about 50kgs. Admittedly some of the old stuff was a bit loose, but not totally unwearable.
I'm not suggesting you fit this category, it's just to point out that we are all different. Some people CAN lose 5kgs and lose a size, but not everyone.

| Well done Kirsten! And you're right, stores do screw with sizes...they are different everywhere you go! I had an NSV today too. I tried on a shirt this morning that i have had for ages. A year ago i used to wear it open over another top because it would not button up over my boobs or tum. (I couldn't do up a single button :) Today i tried it on for the first time in a year and it did up! I was able to button up every single button. Granted, the button over the tum gaped slightly but it still did up. I was shocked...happy shocked :) Its a size 18 from crossroads. My one little gripe is why is it taking me so long to drop a size. I've lost three stone and have only dropped from 20-22 to a size 18. Still, can't complain, without the band i'd probably be a size 24-26 now. All in all, a happy nsv. debs | |

how sweet!!!! Well yesterday I decided to buy new bra's as the ones I'm wearing were cutting off my circulation 6 months ago and are now way too baggy. I snuggly fit into a 16! I also brought a pair of size 14 Katies pants, those ones that threaten to flatten the tummy and lift the butt. Not as thrilled with this one as I wish stores would stop screwing with the sizes. My butt is sooooo not a 14, lol

| Could be weight related, I've dropped 2 shoe sizes since losing my weight...
It wont be too long before you get sick of buying new clothes because everything is too big, thats when you start shopping at OP shops lol I don't bother paying good money for clothes anymore, I am not paying $60 for a top that I will outgrow in a few weeks..
