ooh NewB, that is something that I wanted to do when I was losing weight. when my weight loss journey first started I had sooo much motivation, now i'm finding a year 1/2 out that my motivation is waning :-(

I need my mojo back

Congratulations, NewB!!!

Isn't it amazing the things we can do now, that would would never have dreamed of in our "old" bodies (and I guess with our "old" way of thinking...)

We enjoy life more (at least when our band is behaving!!!!) and suck life up to the full!!!!!

Great job!

Vogette,

Thank you very much for starting this thread. I use to enjoy reading this thread on the old lap band site.

My NSV as some of you read on one of the other thread is that I completed the Sussan 5k fun run in 40mins 44 secs one week ago in Melbourne. Picked up running six months ago. Never ran that far before. Thrilled with myself .

I had a good one the other day....I sell 14+ size clothing and this lady was looking around commenting how nice it was to find "different" clothing to all the rest.

I was like yeah I know what you mean...she looked at me as to say "as if" then I told her I used to be a size 22-24..I now wear a 14...she didnt believe me

hahaha gotta luv the band

Welcome, Tinkerbelle! I think we all got jack of the other forum. It has become so un-user friendly.

Great NSVs - all of them! It's so good when you can feel like a 'normal' person, and I can relate very well to all of the things you mentioned. Sometimes it's the small things that make us feel special, well . . . . . small for others, HUGE achievements for us! Well done.

Hi All
I have finally made the move over to this amazing forum. I am very impressed with the layout.

I just wanted to share an NSV of mine too. I went to see U2 on Thursday at Suncorp Stadium and my hips did not protrude onto anyone elses seat. And when I got up and had to walk past everyone else (we were right in the middle of the row, normally something I would dread) I didn't take out anyone with my huge behind. lol. I also took the train there with no fear of anyone looking at me like I didn't deserve a seat because I would take up some the other seat beside me. Yay. It was such an amazing experience I will never forget and so much better because I was comfortable in my own skin.

ooooh very cool NSV's! I had a little one. I pulled on a pair of jeans i haven't been able to get on in about two years...they're not a size smaller (still can't seem to get down a size! Grrrr...) but they must have been a smaller make than the other 18's i have.

I can't wait until i can say my nsv is i've finally dropped to a size 16. One day.... lol

I used to find this topic very inspiring on the "old" boards, so I thought I would resurrect it & start a new one.

I had an NSV today.

I bought a belt, and had 2 thoughts...

Number 1....I actually need a belt, cos my pants keep falling down!!!!

Number 2....I didn't have to buy it in the Men's section!!!

Yee haa!!!!
