| Hi Kirsten...Yes booked the dietician also....walk this morning, but had my meds and some panadol for the knee pain ( walking) before I started out and a small drink, 1/2 weet bix and strained apple....but, up it all came...so walked and had another attempt on my return ( left the meds out as I am sure of what went down and what came up, do not want to over dose, might have to cut my meds in half)...much better all stayed down......also weighed in 300 grams down on yesterday - weird...I walked lots in the arvo and only had fluids...I forgot I was only having protein shakes today and the rest of the week( only one solid meals a day to try and kick start my loss again), will have to leave it on the bench to remind me.....lol Have a good day all..... | Well done Kirsten! That's fantastic! I'm sitting right on 100 so i'm hoping to crack it soon myself....if the scales ever move again! lol Cate i know it sucks when the band doesn't work the way its supposed to. Do you a gut instinct about what could be going on? Do you think it would be worthwhile to go back to the surgeon and have a good long chat, and maybe see a dietician too? They might have some tips that could help? Poor thing, it sounds awful! debsx | |

| Hi Kirsten...the heaving is a terrible thing...got through today with only vomiting up breakkie.....I am sure mine is not related to not chewing properly, just seems to happen...I am going to join the gym, have walked the last 3 days and plan to do it again tomorrow and possibly the gym in the arvo..... We had eat out tonight...one of those 'all you can eat' club meals, but I really cannot eat a lot, ( small pc of fish, 2 prawns, small dim sim, vegies and small desert, and no drinks) but hubby and daughter made up for me....lol Hope you all got through the day ok...take care cate xoxoxo | |

| Well I saw a dietician for the first time today, I didn't see one with the banding process but booked myself in as I figured it would help. Talking with her today made me happy and a little proud as I never knew until verbalising it, just how many changes I have already made. Things like, having no cream in the house, I used to cover everything in it, no more ducking into the takeaway for a bag of lollies or flakes, using brown rice and bread instead of the whites, generally a max of 2 measured drinks at a time compared to a number I will not even mention. No chips, mixed nut snacks, chocolate, none of that stuff is in the house anymore, and I've actually managed to keep up with some regular exercise. Upwards and onwards from here right.... mmm, the dreaded heaving! Since the last band adjustment I have thrown up 1/2 dozen times. I seem to be a slow learner sometimes, lol. If I'm feeling a little uncomfortable this is not a sign to shovel a few more mouthful in regardless of how nice it tastes! Cate, thats a good lose to have had since august, I was stuck for what felt like ages until I uped the exercise and changed some foods, I hope it starts dropping for you soon. Debs, My mojo is coming back tomorrow, I penciled it in my diary and everything, lol. Have you booked in to see your doc yet? Ok, I better stop typing before I bore everyobne to death | |

| Hi girls, thanks for the birthday wishes! My boyfriend got me a big box of Darell Lea chocs. Oh dear....there will be no loss this week for sure. lol I've lost my mojo too Kirsten....i seem to be slipping into ba habits. Think its because of the lack of restriction...i mostly feel as if i don't have a band so am not in 'band thinking' because its just not there (well I know it is, but only because i can see a scar :) I don't think i've lost any weight in like 2 months and have probably put some on. Not sure though as i've not been on the scales. I did go swimming yesterday which is a positive i guess. I wonder where all the august posters went from the old board? There's only a few of us here :( Your quiche sounds great cate...i love quiche. Can you give me your recipe? Ta. debsx | |

| Thats great Cate to be able to come off your meds in another 10kgs. How exciting. If you can find the time to fit in exercising i think you'll loose it quick. I've been very slack on the exercise front...so i'm definitely not helping my own weightloss. Excellent news on the no vomiting either....long may it continue! debs | |

| Saw my local dr this morning (and the dentist)...and the BP meds are causing the fiuld retention problems, it is a side effect....feels if I can lose another 10kgs, could come off them altogether, and exercise is important.... What I have eaten today - and not vomited.....YEAH.... Breaky - nothing - toothache to bad..... Lunch - 1/2 salad and chicken sandwich..... Snack - 6 rice biscuits ( those little ones) and 1 can diet coke that I sipped on..... Cate xoxoxo | |

| Thanks Beth...I do realise that I am always ina hurry, doing this and that.......lol, joys of a big family......we actually went out for dinner last night, one of those 'all you can eat'...I went OMG, what a waste of money for me.....but I was surprised what I could eat in 1 1/2 hr sitting, it was small compared to others ( very small)..but I suppose the time was the factor, and I did not drink.....even managed desert ( ice cream) which would slide down anyway...lol Only stuck I had yesterday was a piece of peach I shared with hubby, I think it was the skin.....off to the dentist this morning, broke a tooth last year ( chewing so much), and thought it would just go away...lol...but pain has got so bad, and this is also affecting my ability to chew well.....IT HURTS!!!.... cheers to all Cate xoxoxo PS Yeah, the kids go back to school today....
