MEAT PIE

Preheat oven 200C fan forced.

750 g diced lean stewing beef
1 cup onion diced
2 level tsp worcestershire sauce
3 level tblsp beef stock powder
3 level tblsp plain flour
7 sheet Filo Pastry

Brown beef, drain liquid, add onion stirring together for 3 mins. Add 1 1\4 cups of water, worcestershire sauce and stock
powder, bring to the boil, reduce to simmer for 30 mins stirring occasionally.

Blend flour with 1/4 cup water and stir into pot, boil for 2-3 mins until saucethickens. Leave filling to cool.

Spray a pie dish (20cm) with cooking spray. Cut Filo sheets in half (use 8 for base, 6 for top). Layer dish with 8 cut sheets, in a rotating
fashion, spray with cooking spray between each sheet.

Spoon meat mixture on top of pastry. Place remaining sheets by layering over top of filling in a rotating fashion. Crinkle edges together, spray with cooking spray.

Bake 30-35 mins, or until golden brown.

Serve immediately as pastry will soften when left.
